Designer Suss Cousins has established a successful niche in the women's wear market. She began creating exclusive, top quality sweaters more than a decade ago under the brand name, Suss Designs. Due to her strong work ethic, the Swedish-born designer has carved out her place with her distinctive one-of-a-kind sweaters. In 1991, Cousins and her husband Brian moved to Los Angeles and began to revamp her operation from one of hand crafting custom knit creations to more of a traditional wholesale operation. Buyers love her uniqueness and the exceptional balance and colors of her designs. Cousins adamantly maintains her handcrafted appeal and the exclusivity. The designer remains the creative force behind every motif, style and silhouette. Cousins also works with yam mills to create unusual yarns. Suss designs are made primarily using the specialized Intarsia technique- a refined knitting process that produces a look and construction that cannot be obtained with electronic looms. Signature Suss Design's look includes mixing fabrics, such as duponi silk, linen and velvet with a variety of knits.
