Rebecca Taylor
Originally from New Zealand, Rebecca Taylor soon moved to New York after graduating from the Wellington School of Design. It was not soon after, while working for a leading Seventh Avenue designer, that Taylor met Elizabeth Bugdaycay, who would turn out to be her future business partner. Bugdaycay urged Taylor to launch her own collection, which she soon did. With Rebecca Taylor's clear creative skills and love for fashion, the line quickly took off, becoming one of the industries most sought after collections.
Only five years old, the line has clearly made an impression not only in the fashion community, but has put their collection on the fashion map. Taylor incorporates a feminine edge into her designs, while maintaining a subtle sexiness. Taylor's designs draw from many genres, including vintage mod books from the 60's and 70's, art, music, and entertainment.
Taylor's eye for detail and use of color creates unique and beautiful clothing. Her use of fabric and color flatters and gives confidence to the women who wear her pieces. Her pieces are classic from season to season and maintain their beauty even as trends are ever changing. With great prints, beautiful knit sweaters and camisoles, and girlie, flirty dresses, it is no wonder Rebecca Taylor's line is so popular. Their inherent qualities and classic appeal will never go out of style.
